Google Arts & Culture engaged the team at Sense to activate their “Google For Sports” launch at the iconic MCG. The Design needed to capture the spirit of Google and our sports mad nation in a pre function space and main stage.
I wanted to design set pieces that brought the website to life. A tactile exploration of the incredible content captured by Google that people could explore in detail.
Using bold sport inspired graphics and sporty textured like perforated metals I created a sporty vibe. A bold set piece was perfect for the hero presentation and Sporting Legends that graced the stage. Guests could fully engage with the website on touch screens, tablets and even pay with Google AI experiments in custom made sporting cages.

I loved designing this event and every set within it. It was a cool maze of interactive goodness and YouTube fun. The Incredible Amy Shark, Vera Blue and Alison Wonderland graced my graphic  LED stage while punters posed up a storm in Colour Blocked Cubes or under the deconstructed neon logo tunnel. We had a real life piano you could play just using your phone and a music video you could literally jump inside of.

Creative Direction and Design

This was a dream job. I LOVE designing pop up spaces and the Pie shop combined incredible design with cool technology to deliver free pies or Google Home Mini’s to AFL fans at the MCG.
I was the Creative Director and designer on this project working with the immense production talent of Sense Group. I created every touch point from the mammoth build to the custom packaging and uniforms. So many beautiful details were explored. Moving conveyor belts dropped prizes to guests down neon slope shoots. A mix of corrugated polycarbonate and large checkerboard floors created a nostalgic Australian feeling like stepping into a cool country milk bar meets pie shop. The hero Google Mini’s chatted to guests about the football and rewarded them with a prize.
AFL fans literally young and old came through the shop over 2 days and the looks on their faces when they won was the best feeling in the world. Have to commend Google on creating such a cool moment for Aussie football fans and giving away so much love.

2016 Annual Marriott International Gala Dinner hosted by the Ritz Carlton Nusa Dua, Bali
A sit down dinner for 300 international guests on the lawn of the Ritz Carlton, Nusa Dua
Four unique table designs, each evoking a different side of Bali – from Bali luxe to rural organic. All elements were custom made, from the napkins and cutlery, through to the sculptural table decor and vases.

2016 Welcome Dinner event for the Annual Marriott International Conference hosted by the Ritz Carlton, Nusa Dua, Bali
300 International guests dining with their feet in the sand. Custom made food stalls showcasing chefs from the Marriott’s top international hotels such as the Bulgari, Ritz Carlton, Mumbai. Relaxed bright and beautiful with an American truckstop twist.

Hausmann Communication engaged CC Lane to Style the launch of Neutrogena’s ‘See whats possible’ media campaign. The Private event for a select 60 top media and fashion and lifestyle bloggers was hosted as a breakfast at the Michael Crouch Innovation centre, at the University of NSW. The event also launched the new brand ambassador Australian Actress Rachael Taylor.
The Space required a makeover to become a perfectly on brand experience with product display and trialling stations. Beauty editors have seen it all, so creating an engaging, ‘instagramable’ space is paramount to the events success.
The modern, clean and innovative design was fresh and communicated clearly the values of Neutrogena. The proof was in the amazing feedback Hausmann received from editors and bloggers.

Dinner at Bennelong, Sydney Opera House for the launch of  Swarovski AW14/15
A high profile media event with Australian Vogue editor Edwina McCann, actress Emma Lung, fashion editor Romy Frydman and Swarovski ambassador Miranda Kerr

Inspired by the Swarovski collection I designed an intricate and contemporary table with facetted geometric shapes, metallic perspex table tops featuring a custom print, sculptural florals and a touch of neo classical miniatures dynamically dip painted with gold.

Azbcreative engaged me to design & style the VIP Media launch of Blogger turned superstar Mimi Elashiry’s new capsule swimwear collection. Designed exclusively for Glue Store. Keeping in line with Mimi’s natural, relaxed, bohemian energy we put together a beautiful long lunch with a beach meets Morocco flavour. Crystals, layered rugs, lanterns and eclectic florals. Guests and models kicked back by the water in a truly intimate and good vibes space.
